Delhi: National Herald Case: Notice of ED to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, summoned for questioning

New Delhi. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday summoned Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son and MP Rahul Gandhi to join the probe into the alleged money laundering case involving the National Herald. Both have been asked to appear before the investigating agency on June 8 to file their statements.

Sources said that both have been asked to appear before the ED’s Delhi headquarters. A case has been registered against several Congress leaders, including the Gandhi family, for allegedly embezzling funds from the National Herald Fund. The case was initially registered with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the ED case is based on a CBI case.
