Delhi : High Court’s order to give 30 percent reservation to women in Uttarakhand lifted

Delhi : The Supreme Court on Friday lifted the stay imposed by the Uttarakhand High Court on a 2006 order granting 30 per cent reservation to women domiciled in the state in public services.

A bench of Justice SA Nazeer and Justice V Ramasubramaniam issued notice in the matter and sought reply on the petition of the Uttarakhand government.
