New Delhi :  External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi was on Monday appointed India’s permanent representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva.  Bagchi, a 1995-batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), took over as the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs in March 2021 and has been adept at addressing several key issues and developments, including the eastern Ladakh border dispute, India’s anti-COVID-19 response and India’s G20 presidency.
