This information has also been given to the World Tennis Academy (WTA). However, Peng’s supporters are not believing this. On social media sites, people are writing in support of Peng through #WhereIsPengShuai. The Winter Olympics are to be held in China in February 2022. In such a situation, experts say that if this issue is not resolved before that, then the bitterness of the sports community and Beijing may increase and many countries and players may refuse to participate in the Olympics. Beijing’s troubles have increased by silencing Peng. The Chinese government has repeatedly refused to comment on Peng’s case. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said Peng’s allegation was not a diplomatic issue and declined to comment further. The Chinese government has consistently denied knowledge of the issue since Peng made the allegation more than two weeks ago.
