Dehradun: The National Annual Report and Index released on Friday, which is based on the survey of 12,770 women in 31 cities, has put the national safety score of women at 65% which is a private and personal data of a company. Women Commission has nothing to do with this data. This is the statement of State Women Commission Chairperson Kusum Kandwal. Let us tell you, Kandwal while giving information said, on 28th August, in the Nari 2025 program of a private company organized in Delhi, the book ‘Nari 2025’ published by Group of Intellectuals and Academicians based on a survey prepared by Pvalue Analytics was released. The list of cities unsafe for women in the book has been prepared on the basis of survey data and the Women’s Commission has no connection or relation at the national or state level.

In this case, State Women’s Commission Chairperson Kusum Kandwal said that it is very condemnable that the situation of women’s insecurity in 31 cities has been shown on the basis of only 12770 women, which the Women’s Commission denies. Because the women of Dehradun know very well that the government and administration are fully alert regarding women’s safety here. The Chief Minister of the state, Pushkar Singh Dhami, is extremely sensitive towards the safety of women and strict action is taken against the accused who commit any kind of untoward incident with women and daughters. He said that it is completely wrong to tarnish the image of Dehradun in the name of women’s insecurity. The Annual Report and Index (NARI) of Women’s Safety has nothing to do with the Women’s Commission. President Kusum Kandawal said that National Commission for Women President Vijay Rahatkar was present in this book release program. But he has not supported the survey in any way. In this matter, Kusum Kandawal has also taken information by talking to National President Rahatkar over the phone, on which Vijay Kishore Rahatkar says that the National Commission for Women has no connection with this survey or data nor has this report been issued by the National Commission for Women. Considering the seriousness of the matter, Uttarakhand State Women Commission Chairperson Kusum Kandwal said that the name of Dehradun has been added to the list on the basis of the survey report of such data. The commission will call for its report and necessary action will also be taken in this regard.
