Dehradun : The Dhami government of the state has opened the doors of recruitment to the unemployed youth in the police department. The government has given permission for recruitment to 1521 posts of constables and 197 posts of Sub Iinspectors. In this regard, the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has been ordered to issue the Uttarakhand Police Recruitment release at the earliest.

As soon as he took over as the Chief Minister on July 4, Pushkar Singh Dhami had said that providing employment opportunities to the youth is his first priority. Migration from hilly areas can be stopped only by providing self-employment along with government jobs. He had given instructions to immediately start recruitment on about 24000 posts lying vacant in various government departments. After this, most of the departments have started the recruitment process relative to the vacant posts. Now the recruitment orders have been issued for the vacant posts of Police Department. In the order issued by Secretary Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, it has been said that the government has decided to fill 1521 constable posts and 197 sub-inspector posts of Uttarakhand Police.

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has been instructed to issue the notification of the recruitment examination of these posts and release the examination schedule. Recently, the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had assured the youth protesting for employment under the ‘Devbhoomi Berojgar Manch’ that the process of recruitment in the Police Department would be started very soon. On December 17, unemployed youth had marched to the Chief Minister’s residence. During this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had assured to start the police recruitment process within two days, which has been completed today.
