Dehradun : Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board Bill: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that our government has decided to withdraw the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board Bill.

In Uttarakhand, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government has dissolved the Devasthanam Board. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself has officially announced this. CM Dhami said that our government has decided to withdraw the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board Bill. Devasthanam Board Act was made in the government of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. After this the Devasthanam Board was established two years ago. This board oversees 51 temples associated with the Char Dhams Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Purohit was opposing the formation of this board. He said that this board has ended their traditional authority over the temples.

Even before the assembly elections, the issue of Devasthanam Board was being raised a lot. Congress’s election in-charge Harish Rawat had already announced that the Devasthanam Board would be abolished if the Congress government was formed. There was also a big pressure on the Dhami government. Earlier, the organization of priests of Char Dham of Uttarakhand had also said that it would field 15 candidates in the elections.

These priests were opposing the Devasthanam Board set up by the state government.  For this, the priests formed the Char Dham Teerth Purohit Haq Hakukdhari Mahapanchayat Committee. The committee said that it will campaign against the BJP. After the announcement Achraya Santosh Trivedi of Kedarnath said, its victory of baba kedarnath and millions of devotees and tirth purohit.
