Dehradun : Uttarakhand Forest Department’s new boss is IFS Vinod Singhal. Current boss Rajiv Bhartari will join chairman of the Biodiversity Board.

Finding administrative lapses and irregularities, the government has removed Rajiv Bhartri, the head of the forest department. This is the first time that a forest chief has been removed in this way in the state. PCCF Vinod Kumar Singhal has been made the new Head of Forest Force in his place. Apart from this, PCCF Wildlife Anoop Malik, Chief Wildlife Warden JS Suhag and DFO Kalagarh Kishan Chand have also been removed from their posts.
In place of Suhag, Dr. Paradh Madhukar Dhakate has been given the charge of the new Chief Wildlife Warden of the state. This is the most important post in the forest department after the half. In the Kaulagarh division of Corbett National Park, all kinds of constructions and trees were cut there for the Pakhro Tiger Safari. Describing it as against the rules, some environmental lovers had complained to NTCA. After which the NTCA team inspected and sent a report of huge lapse in administrative control and irregularities in the works to the state government. In which action was also asked to take action against all the responsible officers.

Now the government, taking a big action on this, removed four officers including the head of the department, Rajiv Bhartri, from their posts. IFS Bharti has been made the chairman of the Biodiversity Board. IFS Vinod Singhal has been given the responsibility of the departmental head in his place.
