Dehadun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Building New Uttarakhand program organized in the auditorium of the Chief Minister’s residence office late in the evening. In the dialogue program organized on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the overall development of the state is our motto. We are continuously working for the overall development of the state in order to make our state recognized among the leading states of the country.
The Chief Minister said that for the overall development of the state, vision document for the next ten years is being prepared for all the departments. He said that while discharging his duties as chief servant, more than 500 announcements have been made by him in the interest of the state and arrangements have been made for their implementation. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Modi would visit Dehradun on December 4. Here he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development schemes worth about 32 thousand crores. The Prime Minister has a sense of heart and action from Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that along with simplification, solution and disposal, efforts are being made to implement the schemes in the state with a sense of satisfaction. It is our endeavor to implement all the schemes related to public interest at the earliest.
The Chief Minister said that in order to improve the education system in the state, efforts are being made to provide better education to the students in all government schools so that instead of private schools, people are motivated to send their children to government schools. The Chief Minister said that it is a challenge for us to stop migration, we are facing this challenge by creating opportunities for education, health, roads, electricity, water and self-employment in different areas of the state. For this, arrangements are being made to provide loan distribution and other approvals at one place by organizing employment fairs.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Gairsain is the center of all our feelings. Every effort will be made for the development of summer capital Gairsain. Our efforts are on to connect the youth with self-employment and employment. Decision has been taken to fill 24 thousand posts in the state. Many decisions have been taken in the interest of teachers, personnel as well as representatives of Panchayats. He said that after studying the report of the high level committee constituted in relation to Devasthanam Board, it has been decided to cancel it after discussing all the related matters according to the situation in the country.
The Chief Minister said that in the two decades of the establishment of the state, many efforts have been made to create the basic infrastructure for the development of the state. It is our endeavor to make people and subject experts of different sections of the society cooperative in the all-round development of the state. For this self-reliant Uttarakhand Bodhisattva thought chain has been started. He said that all of us will have to make efforts together to make Uttarakhand a leading state in all fields by 2025.
The Chief Minister said that with the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and with the cooperation of the Central Government, many such works have been done in the State which earlier seemed impossible. Modi ji has made the dream of reaching the rail on the mountain come true. Today, the work on Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project and strategically and geographically important Tanakpur-Bageshwar rail project is progressing rapidly. Similarly, work is also being done on Char Dham All Weather Road, Bharat Mala Project at a fast pace. Char Dham Yatra is the lifeline for Uttarakhand and these projects will facilitate Char Dham Yatra, promote tourism and bring revolutionary changes in our economy. Delhi Dehradun Expressway is going to further reduce the distance from Dehradun to Delhi.
Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath for his cooperation in the disposal of assets between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that for the last 21 years, talks were going on with Uttar Pradesh for sharing of assets, but the solution Couldn’t reach. The Chief Minister said that in this regard, in an important meeting held recently in Lucknow, it was decided to transfer the land of Bus Stand of Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department at Kichha to Uttarakhand. Apart from this, the payment of the remaining bills of 90 crores of the Forest Department should also be given to Uttarakhand by the Uttar Pradesh government immediately. Permission was also given for water sports in Dhaura, Baigul, Nanak Sagar reservoir and Upper Ganges canal located in Udham Singh Nagar district. The Alaknanda Tourist Accommodation Home at Haridwar will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Aditya Nath in December 2021 and then the former Tourist Accommodation House will be transferred to Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister said that it was also decided in this regard that identification of 5700 hectares of Irrigation Department and 1700 houses would be done soon after conducting a joint survey to assess the land and building required for the use of Irrigation Department of Uttar Pradesh. Banbasa barrage and Kichha barrage which are in dilapidated condition due to disaster damage, these barrages will be constructed by Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department. Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation agreed to pay Rs 205 crore to Uttarakhand Transport Corporation. The income and liabilities arising from the disposal of the assets of Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Council located in Uttarakhand will be divided in the ratio of 50-50 percent between the two states. He described it as a big achievement for the state.
