Dehradun : Students of final year B.Sc Agriculture of Prestigious SBS University completed their training during 27th June to 5th July at  Niramaya Vermicompost.  School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry, Sardar Bhagwan Singh University, Dehradun organized hands on training program for the final year B.Sc Agriculture students from 27th June to 5th July 2022 at Niramaya Vermicompost, Dehradun. During the training, students interacted with Vikramaditya Singh the owner of the Plant. He  told students about earthworm species and compost prepared by them. He also told  students about the use and benefits of jeevaamrit with vermicompost. He also told  about organic pesticides such as neemastra and agneyastra. Students have also prepared jeevaamrit and agneyastra under the guidance of Vikramaditya Singh and have also done the harvesting of organically grown capsicum, brinjal, ladyfinger, bottle gaurd and chillies.  Students applied compost in the field and also sown taro rhizome. He also told students about business skills and encourage them to work on organic farming in future. The program was coordinated by Anil Panwar (Coordinator, Department of Agriculture Sciences and Forestry) and Dr. Deepika Chauhan.
