Dehradun : Prime Minister Modi  laid the foundation stone and inaugurated schemes worth about 18 thousand crores at Parade Ground

    Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 18 schemes worth about 18 thousand crores at Parade Ground. In which 07 schemes worth 2573 crores were inaugurated and 11 foundation stones were laid for 15626 crores.

Dehradun : Addressing a huge public meeting organized on this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that Uttarakhand is not only the land of faith but also the land of action. For us Uttarakhand is the path of austerity and penance. He said that the various schemes related to the development of the state, whose foundation stone has been laid and those schemes will be helpful in making this decade the decade of Uttarakhand.

The Prime Minister said that at the beginning of this century, former Prime Minister Shri Atal Vihari Bajpai had tried to increase connectivity in the country, but the subsequent government wasted valuable 10 years. Today, work is being done on various schemes worth 100 lakh crores related to infrastructure development in the country. We have been able to include the country in the category of developed countries through the construction of long-pending plans at two to three times the speed and through the Mahayagya of connectivity with new construction.

The Prime Minister said that a large number of devotees, entrepreneurs, nature lovers visit Uttarakhand. Unprecedented work is being done on the development of infrastructure facilities to increase the potential of Devbhoomi. Under the Chardham road project, the hurdles of Lambagad Landslide have been removed in the journey of Badrinath ji, due to which many devotees had to wait. Traveling today has become more enjoyable than ever. Work has started on many schemes in Gangotri and Yamanotri. He said how much tourism and pilgrimage benefit from the development of better connectivity and facilities. Kedarnath reconstruction is an example of this. Where 5.20 lakh pilgrims came to Kedarnath in 2012, more than 10 lakh people came to Kedarnath before the start of the Corona period. The Prime Minister said that during the journey from Delhi to Dehradun, people used to complain that the journey from Delhi to Ganeshpur is easy, but there is great difficulty in the journey ahead. Today, with the foundation stone of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, the travel time will now be halved. With this, people going to Haridwar, Muzaffarnagar, Samli, Meerut will also get convenience and it will also open the doors of economic development. With the formation of Ring Road in Haridwar, the problem of jam will also be solved. Describing the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway as a model of development with environmental protection, the Prime Minister said that it will be Asia’s biggest wildlife corridor along with industrial corridor. With security, there will be convenience in movement of wild animals. The Prime Minister said that the plants with medicinal properties of Uttarakhand are in demand and useful all over the world. The modern perfume and perfumery laboratory to be established here will prove to be a boost to the potential of the state. The Prime Minister said that our mountains are the center of culture and faith as well as the fortress of security. He said that only 288 km of national highways were constructed by the previous government from the present central government in 7 years, whereas our government has constructed two thousand km of national highway in 7 years. Similarly, for the development of Uttarakhand by the previous central government, 600 crores was spent in 7 years, whereas our government has spent more than 12 thousand crores till now. Road projects etc. to be constructed in Uttarakhand will benefit the state, youth will get employment opportunities. He said that Uttarakhand is a priority for us, this is also proof of this. The Prime Minister said that he had said this even 5 years ago and today he is saying again that the water and youth of Uttarakhand will come in handy for Uttarakhand. The Prime Minister said that earlier not much work was done in the development of the border areas, we have covered hundreds of kilometers till the border areas. Along with building roads, one rank one pension facility, raising the morale of the army and not coming under any pressure, the policy of nation first has been adopted.

The Prime Minister said that now the government goes directly to the citizens, not the citizens, to solve the problems of the citizens. Referring to the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, the Prime Minister said that in the last two years, 7.50 lakh houses in Uttarakhand have been provided tap water. This has brought great convenience to our parents. He said that health facilities would be developed with the establishment of three new medical colleges and establishment of AIIMS satellite center in Uttarakhand. He said that new medical colleges, IIMs, IITs would be established in the country. Apart from providing better opportunities to the younger generation due to increase in seats in professional institutions, etc., the dream of parents who want to make their children doctors, engineers will also come true. The Prime Minister said that the country will be strong only when every family is strong. For this we are implementing schemes with Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas without any discrimination. He said that a plan has been made to install solar power on the maids of their fields to make the farmers with food donors, this will give electricity to the country and self-reliance to the farmers. Emphasizing on promoting home stay scheme for the convenience of the tourists of Uttarakhand, the Prime Minister said that with this resolution, Uttarakhand can also show the way to the country. Describing Pushkar Singh Dhami as a young, popular and energetic Chief Minister, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that under his leadership every resolution of development of Uttarakhand would be fulfilled. The state has an experienced team of senior leaders with young leadership. He said that Uttarakhand will attain new dimensions of development in its silver jubilee year in 2025. He also congratulated the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dham for joining the leading states of the country in the vaccination campaign of Covid-19. Earlier, the Prime Minister had called the NHAI. Along with the schemes operated by him, he also visited the exhibition based on other schemes. In his opening address, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to the people of the state in Garhwali and at the end of his speech, he did the poem based on the importance of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand “Jahan Pawan Bahe Sankalp Liye Jahan Mountains teach Pride…. Which was highly appreciated by the public. Every child of the country is well aware of programs like self-reliant India, Swachh Bharat, Digital India, Skill India, Fit India, Make in India. During the Corona period, while the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has ensured two meals a day for crores of people, the Ayushman Bharat Yojana assured the citizens of the country that they would get free treatment if they fell ill.

With the help of the Central Government, in the last five years, schemes worth more than 01 lakh crore were approved for Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is on the path of development under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. With the help of the Central Government, various projects worth more than one lakh crore rupees have been approved for the state in the last five years. Many of these projects have been completed and work is going on on others. It is the result of the Prime Minister’s dedication towards the sustainable development of Uttarakhand that today he has inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development schemes worth more than 18 thousand crores.

Work is being done in the state on the mantra of Pro-active Governance and Timely Implementation

The Chief Minister said that the State Government is fully committed to work on this mantra given by the Prime Minister in 2015 of Pragati, Pro-active Governance and Timely Implementation for effective administration. Be it the recent calamity in the state or other cases pending for years or our plans for the future. The Government is committed to work in a proactive mode by following the path shown by the Prime Minister. The Chief Minister said that he had learned from the Prime Minister how to devote every moment of his time towards the service of the motherland. Considering this as ideal, he is trying to discharge the responsibility of the chief servant with full capacity for the last five months. More than five hundred big decisions have been taken in the state in the interest of Janardan, the people of the state.

Work is being done towards making Uttarakhand the leading state of the country by 2025.

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is the land of heroes. The soldiers here have always done the work of raising the head of Mother Bharati high. I am proud that a soldier son coming from a normal family like me has got the privilege of serving this soil as a chief servant. To honor the brave soldiers, our government is building a military Dham in Dehradun, which the Prime Minister has named as the fifth Dham. The Chief Minister said that it is our target that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, by the year 2025, when we are celebrating the silver jubilee year of our establishment, Uttarakhand should become the best state of the country.
