Dehradun: The 34th Executive Committee meeting of Uttarakhand Health and Family Welfare Committee was organized in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Secretary Medical Health and Medical Education and National Health Mission (NHM) Mission Director Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, in which many important issues were discussed. Decisions were taken by Secretary Dr.R. Rajesh Kumar.

It was informed by Rajesh Kumar that the Working Women Hostel One Stop Centers and Working Women Hostel under the Department of Women and Child Development in Haridwar and Dehradun will be used as Birth Waiting Homes, in which pregnant women will be given pre-delivery stay and There will be facility of food and drink. He informed that AYUSH doctors working in National Child Health Program (RBSK) operated under NHM, Uttarakhand will be given honorarium at par with allopathic doctors. Along with this, from January 2023, Anganwadi workers will also be included in Jan Arogya Abhiyan – One step towards healthy life.

In the meeting It was told by Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar that the 300 bed cancer care hospital under construction at Hararwala, Dehradun has been agreed in principle to be operated through PPP mode, on which procurement of medical health and family welfare / PPP will be done. With the help of SAIL and National Health Mission Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand Health System Development Project (UKHSDP) contract management team, tender document will be prepared and release will be issued by January 15, 2023.IPHS for the strengthening of health services in the state on the basis of You Quit We Drink. According to the norms, specialist doctors will be appointed under the National Health Mission, Uttarakhand.
