Dehradun District Magistrate Directed for Continuous Monitoring of Green building

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan chaired a meeting of the high-level Steering Committee of Dehradun Smart City Limited at the Secretariat on Tuesday. During the meeting, various Smart City issues were discussed and decisions were made. The Chief Secretary expressed deep displeasure over the delay in the construction of the Green Building. He stated that the Green Building was the flagship project of the Smart City. The Chief Secretary directed the District Magistrate/CEO Smart City to complete the Green Building construction within the next six months. He also directed the implementing agency, CPWD, to conduct work in three shifts. He stated that timelines should be set for each project over the next six months and that continuous monitoring should be done.

The Chief Secretary stated that the Transport Corporation should operate the 30 electric buses being operated under the Dehradun Smart City project. He stated that the VMD (LED screens) and environmental sensors would be transferred to the Municipal Corporation. He stated that the Integrated Command and Control Center would be operated under the ITDA. Principal Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Nitesh Kumar Jha, Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate Dehradun and CEO Smart City Savin Bansal, Additional Secretary Dr. Iqbal Ahmed, MD Transport Reena Joshi and other senior officers were present.
