The Chief Secretary directed the officers to take prompt action to resolve the various problems pending at the government level related to the district. The District Magistrate demanded speedy action on the proposal to develop parking facilities at various places by Nainital.

The Chief Secretary said that there is an in-principle approval for parking places, but care should be taken not to spoil the beauty of Nainital while making the parking. The carrying capacity of the city should also be taken into account. He said that the ropeway system should also be considered to get rid of the traffic so that the vehicles of tourists stop outside the city and the situation like jam can be avoided.
The Chief Secretary directed the Tourism Department to ensure arrangements for providing traffic information to the tourists through app and FM radio etc. He also directed to ensure the arrangement of footpaths in tourist cities. He told the officers to upload the innovative initiatives and good works done by all the district magistrates on the website.
