Dehradun: 11 senior IFS officers of FRI found Corona infected, FRI’s area declared as Micro Containment Zone

Dehradun: There has been a stir in the FRI due to the case of Corona on Thursday. 11 senior officers from many states including UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra called for mid-term training at the prestigious country’s Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun. Corona infected have been found. After IFS officers got corona infected, they have been quarantined in the academy itself. There was a stir as soon as the news was received.

According to academy officials, 40 IFS officers from different states were called for mid-term training. These officers were earlier sent to New Delhi after training in management at Lucknow IIM. In New Delhi, when the corona test of all the officers was done, six officers were found to be corona infected, but before the report came, all the officers had reached Dehradun. After the officers were found corona infected, all the precautionary steps have been taken by the academy authorities. The first case of corona in Uttarakhand was reported in the trainee officers of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy. At that time a team of trainee IFS officers had gone on a tour of many European countries including Spain.

After a long time, two areas have been declared as Micro Containment Zone in Dehradun. District Magistrate Dr. R Rajesh Kumar said that Indira Gandhi National Academy Old Hostel FRI and G-2 B-19 Tibetan Colony Sahastradhara Road Kulhal in the district have been declared as Containment Zone after getting corona infected.
