New Delhi: Shubhanshu Shukla is a Group Captain and astronaut of the Indian Air Force. Who will travel to the International Space Station (ISS) under the Axiom-4 mission in 2025. He has also been selected for the Indian Gaganyaan mission. Some more information about Shubhanshu Shukla: Shukla was born on 10 October 1985 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He was educated at City Montessori School, Lucknow. After that he was selected for the National Defense Academy (NDA)… He has done M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. Has served as a fighter pilot and test pilot in the Indian Air Force. Experience of more than 2000 flight hours. Has flown aircraft like Sukhoi-30 MKI, MiG-21, MiG-29, Jaguar, Hawk, Dornier and An-32. Promoted to the post of Group Captain in March 2024. Selected as astronaut for Gaganyaan mission. During the Axiom-4 mission, Shubhanshu Shukla will visit the International Space Station (ISS) as a part of the Axiom-4 mission. This mission is expected to launch in 2025. Shubhanshu Shukla will conduct 7 Indian experiments in space. Shubhanshu Shukla’s wife’s name is Kamna Shukla and she is a dentist. His father Shambhu Dayal Shukla is a retired government officer, and mother Asha Shukla is a housewife. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is one of the four astronauts selected for India’s first space mission Gaganyaan. AXIOM Mission includes Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla. Under this mission, its crew is going to leave for the International Space Station (ISS) today i.e. on June 25. This mission will take off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at 2:31 am (12:01 pm Indian time).
