Bageshwar : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the ‘Kanda Mahotsav’

Kanda/Bageshwar : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Kanda Mahotsav organized in Kanda-Padaav by lighting the lamp and offering prayers. After that, in a program organized at Kedareshwar ground of Kapkot Vidhansabha of Bageshwar district, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 89 schemes costing Rs.27331.13 lakh for Kapkot and Bageshwar region. In which 33 schemes costing Rs 6843.03 lakh were inaugurated in Kapkot and 36 schemes worth Rs 15632.94 lakh were laid and four schemes worth Rs 531.40 lakh were inaugurated and 16 schemes worth Rs 4323.76 lakh were laid. Kanda-Padav region is situated 25 km. away from Bageshwar District Head Quarter on the Berinag road.
Addressing the regional people on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that when he got the responsibility of Chief Servant of the State, after that many decisions have been taken by the State Government in public interest. The state government is working on providing employment to the youth. He said that along with starting the recruitment process in the vacant posts in various departments, loans are being distributed under the Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana to connect the youth with self-employment. Along with increasing the honorarium on the demand of the long standing Asha and Anganwadi workers, the honorarium of the Panchayat representatives has also been increased. Along with this, keeping in mind the future of the youth, the police recruitment process has been started on 1734 posts by the state government.
The Chief Minister said that India is emerging as a proud, powerful, self-reliant and world guru under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A youth like Uttarakhand will make the state the number one state of India in the coming times in all fields like education, health, tourism, business, industry. The government is continuously working on the benefit of the person standing at the last end of the society. He said that the development of the state is a collective journey of all, in which everyone’s participation is necessary.
The government is working for the benefit of the general public every moment and the doors of the government are open for the general public at all times. He said that the priority of the government is to reach the development plans to the people living in rural and remote areas and make them self-reliant and connect them with the mainstream of development.
He said that there is immense potential for tourism in the district, for which work is being done. The Kapkot region has immense potential for herbs, so this area will be developed as a herbal centre. He said that employment has been provided to eight thousand people in the state under the home stay scheme. On this occasion, he said that the assessment for construction of building and CSD canteen of Polytechnic in Kapkot would be done.
After this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated Oxygen Generation Plant with capacity of 500 MPL at Community Health Center Kapkot and laid the foundation stone of 20 bedded hospital building and meeting hall. In the Kanda Mahotsav, the Chief Minister announced to give Rs.02 lakh to the Mela Committee, Rs.25 lakh for community building in Kanda, and to sanction funds for ANM center in Sasola and to improve health facilities at Government Community Health Center, Kanda. Ultrasound and dialysis will be arranged.
On this occasion Food Supplies Minister Banshidhar Bhagat, Rural Development Minister Swami Yatishwanand, MLA Kanda-Kapkot Balwant Singh Bhoryal, Bageshwar MLA Chandan Ram Das, President District Panchayat Basanti Devi, Former MLA Sher Singh Gadiya, Former MLA Advocate Umed Singh Majila and officers of District Administration were present.
