Ashish of Uttarakhand will represent India in the World Ranger Conference in France


Rishikesh/Haridwar. Ashish Gaur of Uttarakhand will represent India in the 10th World Ranger Conference in France. Forest workers associated with the frontline staff will participate in this conference which will run from 7th to 11th October. Ashish Gaur is currently working as a section officer in the Motichur range of Rajaji Tiger Reserve. He has been selected for this conference after successfully passing many difficult standards. He is the only representative from India. On Sunday late evening, Motichur Range Officer Mahesh Semwal, Deputy Ranger Dinesh Dungriyal and other staff sent him off to France with best wishes.

Ashish Gaur, who joined the forest service in the year 2011, has played an important role in wildlife conservation. During his posting in Cheela Range, he has done excellent team work for the conservation of tigers and wild elephants. He has also played an important role in the translocation and monitoring of tigers in Motichur Range. Recently, he has secured first position in the forest guard training in Haldwani and also won a gold medal. Former director of Rajaji Tiger Reserve Sanatan Sonkar said that Ashish has been sent to France in view of his excellent work and hard work for the conservation of tigers and elephants. It is a matter of pride that he is representing the country abroad. Ashish will set an example for other forest workers working diligently in wildlife conservation and promotion. Former director of Rajaji Park, currently director of Corbett Tiger Reserve Saket Badola said that Ashish has been a hardworking and honest worker especially for tiger translocation and tiger protection. Ashish has made a big contribution to the department in tiger monitoring.
