Almora: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the 2-day ‘Aajivaka Mahotsav’ at Hawalbagh

Almora: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, after reaching Almora, inaugurated the 2-day ‘Aajivika Mahotsav’ [Livelihood Festival] at Hawalbagh. He also inaugurated the Rural Business Incubator Center located at Hawalbagh. During this, the Chief Minister said that the objective of Rural Business Incubator Center is to encourage self-employment in rural areas and to provide support to entrepreneurs from beginning to end for setting up of enterprises. Along with this, its purpose is to generate employment, business cooperation, promotion of new ideas and technology etc. to the youth. On the occasion of its inauguration, the Chief Minister said that Rural Business Incubator Center has been set up at Almora and Pauri in the state. He said that efforts should be made to connect the common man with this center. He said that this would help in stopping the migration. During this, he interacted with entrepreneurs from different areas of the district and got information and introduction of their products.

Participating in the Aajeevika Mahotsav, the Chief Minister congratulated the administration for the festival organized by the district administration and said that this festival would prove beneficial for the rural youth and women, which would help in preventing migration. He said that it is the endeavor of the government to strengthen the livelihood of rural areas and direct benefits of self-employment schemes reach the general public. He said that every person associated with self-employment of the state should be made a participant in this so that migration could be stopped and the problem of employment could be removed. He said that the development of the village would strengthen the economy. He said that the home-stay scheme would become the mainstay of tourism and economy in the coming times. He said that 3600 home-stays have been registered in the state under the home-stay scheme, in which 8 thousand people have got employment. Such a festival should not be a mere formality, its purpose is successful only when its benefits and facilities can be available to the common person. All the officials and public representatives should work together for the progress of Uttarakhand. All the departmental officers have been instructed to prepare a roadmap for 10 years so that the foundation for the development of the coming Uttarakhand can be laid. He said that efforts are being made to connect all the cities with heli service. During this, he remembered the great personalities of Almora district and bowed to them.

The Chief Minister said that many public welfare schemes are being run by the Central and State Governments, due to which people are getting benefited. During this, he said that an amount of 7.74 crore has been approved for the construction of parking lot in Almora. On this occasion, the Chief Minister made several announcements, including the link road from Chitai Pant Tirahe to Haridutt Petshali Inter College, Petshal 03 km, Basmaon-Darman motor road construction 04 km, Kosi Daulaghat motor road to Dhauligarh-Panchgaon-Sura link motor road construction 06 km, Establishment of Ayush Super Multispecialty Hospital (50 beds) in Almora, construction of executive hostel at Extension Training Center, expansion and expansion of Rural Business Incubator (Phase II) are included. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of schemes worth Rs.49.19 crore, in which various schemes costing Rs.3.20 crore were inaugurated. In these schemes, the cost of construction of procession house in Garad temple is Rs.40.00 lakh, Rural Business Innovator, State funded Hawalbagh cost. 117.11 lakhs, the construction work cost of development block office Dhaula Devi is Rs 163.87 lakhs.

Construction of multi-storey parking at taxi stand cost Rs 770.32 lakh, construction block under Central Road Infrastructure Fund in various motorways of Almora.
