Afghan Taliban retaliates against Pakistani forces, seizes several posts, kills 5 Pakistani soldiers
The Taliban’s special forces units, called the Badri units, are being rushed to the disputed Durand Line (Pak-Afghan border)

Kabul/New Delhi : Its tension time for both Pakistan and neighboring country Afghanistan. Tensions have reached a peak along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. On October 9, Pakistan launched several airstrikes targeting TTP chief Noor Wali Mehsud in Kabul, Khost, Jalalabad, and Paktika provinces. In response to these attacks, Afghanistan’s 201st Khalid bin Walid Army Corps launched an attack on Pakistani military posts near the Durand Line in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces late on October 11.
The Taliban government’s Defense Ministry told TOLO News that Afghan forces have captured several Pakistani posts. Afghan border forces destroyed one Pakistani post each in Kunar and Helmand provinces. According to local sources, heavy clashes between Afghan and Pakistani troops have been ongoing since this morning in the Aryub Jaji district of Paktika province.
According to local sources, five Pakistani soldiers have been killed and two injured in the clashes so far. Afghan troops have also seized Pakistani weapons. Fighting is primarily concentrated in Spina Shaga, Givi, Mani Jabha, and other border areas, where light and heavy weapons are being used.
A Taliban government official said Afghan troops have gained control of several checkpoints. Furthermore, two explosions occurred in Kabul late Friday night, which the Taliban blamed on Pakistan, accusing it of carrying out airstrikes on their border town.
