New Delhi: Today i.e. on May 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament House. On Sunday, May 28, after performing Puja and Havan according to Vedic rituals, the new Parliament House will be dedicated to the people of the country. The inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building is likely to begin around 7:30 am on Sunday. The program will begin with special worship and havan according to Vedic rituals.
Here is the complete program of the inauguration of the Parliament House-
- According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Parliament House around 7:15 am for the program of Puja and Havan.
- The program of Puja and Havan will start at 7:30 am in the special pandal built near the Gandhi idol located in the Parliament House complex.
- The program will start at 8:30 am in the Lok Sabha chamber built inside the new Parliament House, which is likely to continue till 9 pm. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will install the sacred Sengol near the seat of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
- Prayer meeting of all religions will start in the lobby of Parliament at 9:30 am. Shankaracharya, saints and many learned pundits will be present in this prayer meeting which will last for about half an hour.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Parliament for the second phase of the inauguration program of the new Parliament House at 12 noon. The invited dignitaries and MPs will reach the Lok Sabha Chamber inside the new Parliament House to attend the main function of the inauguration.
- The second phase of the program will start with the national anthem at 12:07 pm.
- After the national anthem, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh will deliver the welcome speech at 12:10. After the welcome address, two short documentary films on Parliament will be screened.
- Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh will read the congratulatory message of Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and President Draupadi Murmu around 12.30 pm.
- Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s speech is scheduled at 12:43 pm. Let us tell you that the Speaker of the Lok Sabha is considered the custodian of the Parliament House.
- To make the inauguration program of this new building of Parliament memorable and memorable, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will issue a new coin and stamp of Rs 75 on this occasion at 1 pm.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start his speech at 1:10 PM. After the Prime Minister’s speech, the Lok Sabha Secretary General will present the vote of thanks and with this the inauguration program of the new Parliament House will come to an end.
