New Delhi : Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has resigned from the post of minister. According to sources, he resigned from the Union Cabinet after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

Earlier, during the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated Naqvi’s contribution. Earlier on Wednesday in the afternoon, Naqvi went to the BJP headquarters and met the party’s national president J. Had also met P. Nadda. Actually, apart from being a Union Minister, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was also handling the responsibility of Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha. His Rajya Sabha term is ending on July 7, but this time the party did not send him to the Rajya Sabha from any state and in such a situation his resignation from the post of minister was considered certain.

After resigning from the cabinet, speculations have once again intensified about his political future. Although formally nothing is being told from the party or the government about his future role.
