Delhi: Former DGP BSF Pankaj Kumar Singh appointed Deputy NSA

Delhi:The government has issued an order for the appointment of new deputy NSA. The new Deputy NSA has been appointed for a period of two years. Deputy National Security Advisor has been appointed in India. Senior officer Pankaj Kumar Singh has been appointed as NSA Ajit Doval’s deputy. Pankaj Kumar Singh is the former DG of BSF. The government has issued an order for the appointment of new deputy NSA. Pankaj Kumar Singh has been appointed for two years.

The country’s newly appointed Deputy NSA Pankaj Kumar Singh is the former DG of Border Security Force (BSF). He has retired from BSF on 31 December 2022. Pankaj Kumar Singh is a 1988 batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre. Pankaj Singh’s father Prakash Singh has also been a senior IPS. Pankaj Kumar Singh took over the command of BSF on August 31, 2021, when he created a history of a son and a father occupying the top position of the paramilitary force during his service. His father Prakash Singh, a retired 1959 batch IPS officer, also headed the BSF from June 1993 to January 1994.

Former IPS officer Prakash Singh, father of Pankaj Kumar Singh, is also remembered for police reforms in the country. He filed a petition in the Supreme Court in 1996 to reform the police services. After this, the government had decided to make the tenure of Intelligence Bureau chief, CBI, Foreign Secretary, Union Home Secretary, RAW chief at least two years.
