New Delhi-Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and discussed in detail about various projects related to the state and the situation in the state. Sharing the roadmap of ‘Strong Uttarakhand at 25’ with the Prime Minister, Dhami also invited the Prime Minister to visit the Mayawati Ashram at Lohaghat. Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Parliament House complex on Tuesday. The meeting between the two leaders lasted for about an hour.
Giving information about the meeting with the Prime Minister, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to start the pending 44 hydropower projects in the state at the earliest, at the level of the Prime Minister’s Office related to Jal Shakti, Forest and Environment and Energy. Urged to call a meeting with the participation of the Ministry and the State Government.
Dhami further said that he also requested the Prime Minister to provide the facilities available to the villages under the Bharat Net project as soon as possible, so that the villages of Uttarakhand can take advantage of internet facility. It is being told that during the meeting, discussions were held on Him Prahari Yojana, Vibrant Village Yojana for Frontier Village and Manas Khand Corridor and many other important pending and ongoing projects related to the state.
Chief Minister Dhami said that on the lines of NITI Aayog, the work of setting up an institution in Uttarakhand has been started. Considering Mana village of Chamoli as the first village of the state, it is proposed to organize a meeting of the state cabinet there. 15 places have been identified in hilly and plain districts to develop green field cities in the state. The implementation of Mission Natural Farming is proposed to be started in 11 districts.
The Chief Minister said that 35 ropeways have been identified under Parvatmala Yojana, on which a strategy is being prepared to start and complete the work within the stipulated period. 13 heliports are functional under RCS, while 19 helipads have been proposed for major tourist places in the state. The Chief Minister said that the work of preparing Manskhand Mala like religious tourism like Chardham has been started in the state, under which all those mythological religious areas, which were not yet included in the mainstream, will be connected to the tourism circuit.
The Chief Minister informed that the Bal Vatika program proposed by the State Government under the New Education Policy 2020 has been started. The state dynamic master plan is being prepared under PM dynamic. The Chief Minister said that minimum infrastructure facilities are essential for the floating population in the State which is around 4-5 crore every year due to Char Dham Yatra and other religious pilgrimages including Kanwad Yatra in Haridwar.
He said that though the work of All Weather Road is going on fast in the State, but from the strategic point of view there is a need to extend it to the border areas. CM Dhami requested the Prime Minister that it would be necessary from the economic and social point of view to establish a new airport/airstrip in the Chaukhutia area near summer capital Gairsain. Keeping in mind the disasters, landslides, heavy rains, forest fires, glaciers, etc., there is a great need for a strong weather forecasting system, infrastructure with Doppler radar. He said that under Ease of Living, more than 475 services have been made online for the ease of the citizens. Criticizing Owaisi’s statement on the issue of the India-China border skirmish, Dhami said that some people always question the bravery of the army. For such people, their politics is more important than the country, so they will not comment on the statements of such leaders.
On reaching the Parliament House complex, Pushkar Singh Dhami also paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives in the terrorist attack on December 13.
