Delhi: 16-year-old girl murdered by slitting her throat in Sarita Vihar

Rukhsar's mother has accused her adopted son of carrying out the murder

New Delhi: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by slitting her throat at her house in south-east Delhi’s Sarita Vihar area. The police gave this information on Thursday.

According to the police, the deceased girl has been identified as Rukhsar. Rukhsar’s mother has accused her adopted son of carrying out the murder. Rukhsar’s body was lying on the cot inside the house and his throat was slit.

According to the police, Rukhsar’s mother works as a domestic help and the three were living together since she adopted the accused Shaan Mohammad as her son about 10 years ago. Rukhsar’s mother told the police that Shaan Mohammad (32) was addicted to alcohol and used to fight with him and Rukhsar every day.

Isha Pandey, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South-East Delhi, said that a case of murder has been registered against Shan Mohammad under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
