Dehradun: Police personnel posted in LIU suspended for molesting woman
Dehradun : A case of molesting a woman by Police constable posted in LIU has come in the capital. SSP Dehradun Janmejay Khanduri suspended the police personnel posted in LIU with immediate effect. A case has also been registered against the police personnel.
A case has also been registered against LIU constable Kedar Singh Panwar, who molested the girl on the basis of lack of passport documents in Baniyawala’s Pragati Vihar under Thana Basant Vihar area. Also he has been suspended. SSP Janmejay Khanduri said that whatever facts will come out in the investigation, action will be taken accordingly.
It is being told that the accused constable had gone to the girl’s house in Pragati Vihar to check the passport documents. Seeing the girl alone on the spot and telling the lack of documents, the accused constable molested the girl. On the written complaint of the girl, a case has been registered against the accused Kedar Singh Panwar in the police station Basant Vihar under sections 354, 409 molestation and criminal breach of trust of public servant.
In the case, SSP Janmejay Khanduri says that a case has been registered on the complaint of the girl. On which investigation is going on. After registering a case, the police has started investigation. At present, the accused LIU constable Kedar Singh Panwar has been suspended.
