States of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan will be benefited
New Delhi/Dehradun : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and the Central Government for the approval given for Lakhwar Multipurpose Project by the Union Cabinet.
The Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a project of national importance would be completed soon under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Decision has been taken on the project pending for years in the national interest with the will power of the Prime Minister. The states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan will be benefited by this 90 percent central funding project. This will provide water supply to these states. 6 states will get the benefit of water component of the project and Uttarakhand will get the benefit of electricity component. 90 percent of the water component will be given by the Central Government as grant-in-aid.
