Dehradun: Film Actor Govinda met UFDC CEO Banshidhar Tiwari, will start shooting in Uttarakhand in May-June
Dehradun: Famous film actor Govinda met Uttarakhand Development Council CEO and Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari on Wednesday. Nodal Officer Joint Director of Film Development Council Dr. Nitin Upadhyay was also present.
Govinda is currently in Dehradun in connection with the shooting location of his new film. He told that he is in love with Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and its spiritual, cultural and natural beauty is like a boon for filmmakers. He told that he is planning to start his new film in Uttarakhand from May-June. Welcoming Govinda, Banshidhar Tiwari said that the Uttarakhand government through its film policy is trying to create a good environment for film production in the state. He said that in the new film policy, the facilities and subsidies given to the filmmakers are being made more rational and accessible. OTT platforms are also being included in the new film policy. Tiwari said that the aim of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is that film production should take root in Uttarakhand as an industry so that new employment opportunities related to film production are also available to the youth here. Necessary policy provisions are being made in this direction. Tiwari also apprised Govinda about various shooting locations and tourist places in the state.
Nodal Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, Joint Director Dr. Nitin Upadhyay said that the location directory of Uttarakhand is being prepared by Uttarakhand Development Council and detailed information of artists and other human resources associated with the film is being collected. Special preference is being given to films in regional languages. On this occasion, Govinda was also presented with local products of Uttarakhand.
