Dehradun : 8th Uttarakhand Bird Festival announced, to be held for the first time in the hilly region
Dehradun: The announcement program of the 8th Uttarakhand Bird Festival was held in the presence of Subodh Uniyal, Minister, Forest, Uttarakhand Government at the State Forest Headquarters. Under this, mainly the announcement of the dates of the festival and the launch of the flyer are included. On Wednesday, on this occasion, the website of Uttarakhand Bird Fest was also inaugurated by the Minister. The checklist of bird species of Uttarakhand state and their bibliography were also released on this occasion, in which 729 bird species of the state are identified. The Minister, while highlighting the objective of organizing the Bird Festival in his address, said that the purpose is to emphasize bird tourism and conservation and the ecological importance of the bird species of the state. For the first time, it has been decided to organize this program by the department in the hilly region. According to the state’s Chief Forest Conservator (Chief of Forest Force) Dhananjay Mohan, this event will be organized in Vinog of Mussoorie Forest Division during 18-20 October. Along with the Chief Forest Conservator (Chief of Forest Force), Naresh Kumar, Additional Chief Forest Conservator, Ecotourism (Forest Headquarters) and other departmental officers were present on this occasion.
