Bijnor: Death sentence to the accused of NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed murder case
Bijnor : On Saturday, in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, Additional District and Sessions Judge Room No-5, in the case of shooting dead NIA Deputy SP Tanzil Ahmed and his wife Farzana, the court sentenced the accused Munir and Raiyan to death and one each. Sentenced to fine of Rs. Additional District Government Advocate Abhinav Janghala told that on the night of April 1-2, 2016, National Investigation Agency (NIA) Deputy SP Tanzeel Ahmed and his wife Farzana were attacked with a deadly attack when they were attending a marriage function in Sayohara. Later returning to Delhi. NIA officer Tanzeel Ahmed died on the spot in the attack, while his wife Farzana died in Delhi during treatment.
Janghala said that according to the police investigation, it was found that the accused Munir was having a dispute with NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed regarding the transaction of money. Munir suspected that NIA officers were making him an informer. On this, Munir, along with his accomplices Ryan, Tanjim, Mohammad Jaini and Rizwan, shot and killed NIA officer Tanzeel Ahmed and his wife.
In this case, on Friday, Additional District and Sessions Judge (Five) Dr. Vijay Kumar Talian found the main accused Munir and Ryan guilty. The court acquitted the accused Tanzeem, Rizwan and Mohammad Jaini due to lack of evidence to other accomplices.
In this case, on Friday, the court had reserved the final verdict on the sentence, in which Additional District and Sessions Judge Dr. Vijay Kumar Talian on Saturday convicted the main accused Munir and Raiyan on the basis of witnesses and evidence and sentenced them to death. and sentenced to fine of one lakh rupees each.
